Among the tests that can be performed in Razin Polymer Laboratory, the following can be mentioned:

 

 Flexural strength , tensile Strength

Tensile Strength is one of the most important parameters in quality control of raw materials and also one of the main parameters in the design of polymer parts.

This parameter and other parameters obtained by this test (including percentage of elongation to yield point, percentage of elongation to break point, tensile modulus) are measured and reported with the help of special software and a very accurate test system.

This test is performed in Razin Polymer Laboratory with the help of a universal device. After testing, the obtained data will be recorded in the device memory and will be available when needed. The device used in this company provides other parameters such as Tensile modulus, elongation at yield and flexural modulus with the highest accuracy. Flexural strength is one of the important quality parameters of materials that is reported along with the flexural modulus. This test will be performed with the help of universal testing machine according to ASTM standard.

Impact resistance test

Impact resistance is done in two ways: impact resistance by Izod method and impact resistance by Charpy method. This test can be performed at ambient temperature up to minus 40 degrees. With the help of this test, impact resistance in terms of kilojoules per square meter or joule meters per sample is reported and can be a basis for comparing different grades and is used in the design of engineering parts with advanced polymers.

MFI (Melt Flow Index)

The MFI test is a standard and common test in the plastics industry that determines the type of processability of thermoplastics as well as the length of their molecular chains in comparison with each other.

The information of this test is used to control the quality of raw materials of various types of thermoplastic grades, including grades of polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, ABS and other polymers. The information of this test will help in setting the process parameters such as temperature and pressure of the molding and extrusion process. This test is performed in the temperature range of 190 to 300 degrees in Razin Polymer Laboratory according to ASTM, ISO and INSO standards.

 

HDT (Heat Deflection Temperature)

HDT (Heat Deflection Temperature) test helps to identify and control the quality of polymeric materials by measuring the bending temperature of the part under standard load. In this test, the sample is subjected to a standard load and then, by being placed in an oil bath, the ambient temperature rises at a standard rate. This increase in temperature must continue until the part deforms to the extent specified in the standard. The temperature at which the part reaches this amount of bending is reported as the HDT temperature.

 

VICAT softening point

VICAT test is a standard test for measuring the softening point of polymer products, which is widely used in identifying and controlling the quality of raw materials and polymer products. This test can be performed in accordance with the national standard of Iran and the ASTM standard.

Color meter test

Razin Polymer Lab calculates and reports the color parameters of all parts with the help of one of the most accurate colorimetric devices in the world. These parameters are widely used for quality control or color matching of materials and parts with reference parts.

In this test, the amount of the main color parameters such as opacity and light, as well as the amount of blue, yellow, green and red of the parts are measured and reported quantitatively.

 

 Hardness

This test can be done according to ISO standard and national standard. The test is done with shore method and in two scales A and D. This test is one of the most widely used tests in the rubber and plastics industries, especially in the production and quality control of various types of TPE.
